“You can tell whether a person is clever by his answers. You can tell whether a person is wise by her questions.”
— Naguib Mahfouz (Nobel Prize Winner)
Asking questions is what our brains are designed to do. Samuel Johnson once said, “A generous and elevated mind is distinguished by nothing more certainly than an eminent degree of curiosity.”
The questions we ask, when held lightly with curiosity, open the door to a generous and elevated mind, fostering an expanding consciousness. In other words, we are engaging in the evolution of our self-awareness. The value in this is the increased capacity to objectively recognize our patterns.
I help people understand how the intersection of their innate psychological and astrological patterns contains archetypal themes that shape the narrative of their lives.
Many of us are, or have been, seeking a deeper understanding of who we are, the potential we hold, and the wisdom that accumulates through our years of living.
The wisdom we seek is embedded in the patterns that reveal the theme of our Hero’s Journey. This wisdom may gradually unfold through the questions we ask. In the pursuit of psychological wholeness, asking the right questions is essential. Here is the first of ten questions you can explore on your path toward greater psychological wholeness:
1. How do you define your sense of self, and what core values contribute to that definition?
In my work, I function as a guide for those who are intentional and ready to move toward greater wholeness and less fragmentation. This is a fascinating exploration, resulting in a deeper understanding of yourself and the discovery of the unique gifts and purpose you were born to share.
