LEO / The Lion / July 23rd – August 22nd

Leo’s loyalty is beyond question. It is devoted to itself and always fiercely possesses its own kingdom, whether it be a home, lover, career or a piece of creative work.  

Leo goes after what it wants with determination and enthusiasm. It is a natural born leader and at its best when in charge of a situation.  They are uncomplicated and know exactly what they want.  Leo seeks recognition and appreciation, although is too proud to ask for it, often suffering silently. 

Leo can be stubborn and resistant to change, but it has the stamina to accomplish things through their sheer tenacity.  It is generous, especially if it makes them look good in the eyes of others.

Usually, Leo is hardworking and will approach what they have to do with intensity and determination as they know that this is the way that they will get the good things from life they crave and feel they deserve.

However, Leo does have a lazy streak, often basking in his/her own glory. It will often take the easy way out, especially when a situation offers little fun or glory, and resists to be constrained by rules.  

Self-assured with a strong sense of romance, Leo makes a loyal and reliable friend or partner, even if sometimes it’s up to others to make the most of the effort (and to flatter a bit).  Leo loves to entertain and is a splendid host.

However, there is usually no holding back with enemies.  Leo has a ruthless determination to put anyone who threatens its authority or invades its territory, firmly in their place.  A Leo rarely forgets a betrayal.

Leo cannot tolerate teasing.  It always fights fairly, though at times may lack tact and diplomacy.  The only times Leo might gripe is when ill or stressed which is rare.
